As our new Service Technician, you will be delivering expert field and workshop service to customers — diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning pumps and pump-related equipment while partnering with Service Sales Engineers to grow the Grundfos Service business. This is a remote position with a preference for a candidate based in Orlando or Tampa, Florida.
What you will be doing:
As a key part of the Commercial Service team, you'll create impact by strengthening the Grundfos brand by exceeding customer expectations through exceptional service delivery and technical expertise that drives long-term partnerships.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, repair, recondition, and adjust pumps and pump-related equipment in the field and workshop, ensuring thorough documentation of all work performed
- Provide technical support, advice, and training to customers on existing Grundfos products and their applications
- Create repair estimates, monitor job expenses versus estimates, and flag cost overruns to supervisors before job completion
- Deliver qualified service sales leads to Service Sales Engineers and support overall Service business growth
- Audit Authorized Service Partners (ASPs) and analyze warranty and out-of-warranty product return data
- Train and mentor fellow team members while maintaining a safe, organized
What makes you a great fit:
Above all, you are a practical, self-motivated technician with strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and excellent interpersonal skills that leave customers confident in Grundfos service quality. We would also imagine that you have:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in pump repair, mechanical/electrical systems troubleshooting, or related industrial service
- Practical capability in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing pumps and controls
- Proficiency with computer systems for work orders, documentation, and basic MS Office applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers, engineers, and business associates
It is a plus if you also:
- Have a technical certificate, trade school diploma, or equivalent in an electrical, mechanical, or controls-related field
- Have experience with controls systems in addition to mechanical and electrical systems
- Have a cackground in creating repair estimates and managing job cost tracking
The salary range for this position is $25.62 to $35.56 per hour. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
