As our new APU Team Lead, you will be supporting and motivating a production team to achieve daily targets across safety, quality, training, and operational performance within an Autonomous Production Unit. What you will be doing:
As a key part of the Manufacturing Operations team, you'll create impact by driving continuous improvement and ensuring seamless production flow to support Grundfos's mission of pioneering solutions to the world's water and climate challenges.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead and coach team members on proper work procedures, safety protocols, lock-out procedures, and ergonomic best practices while ensuring compliance with standard work instructions
- Ensure continuous production flow by identifying bottlenecks, implementing countermeasures, and actively tracking OPR, TPM, 5S, safety, and quality KPIs to meet the daily build plan
- Coordinate training and cross-training plans to build team capability, and assist the APU Leader with staffing and workforce planning
- Inspect work areas for safety hazards, assist in resolving safety and ergonomic issues, and support problem-solving for accidents or near misses
- Drive quality standards by verifying standard work processes daily, participating in the MRB process, and promptly identifying and containing processes that may lead to scrap
- Proactively support GPS (Grundfos Production System) initiatives and Ignite '27 strategy by implementing lean tools and delivering positive, incremental improvements
Please note that this position will report daily onsite in our Brookshire, TX facility and is a 2nd shift with a need for flexibility in hours.

Above all, you are a proactive, organized manufacturing professional with strong mechanical aptitude, proven leadership skills, and a passion for driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a production environment. We would also imagine that you have:
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating teams in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings with practical mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills
- Strong multitasking ability with a sense of urgency, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Flexibility with work hours including availability for a second or third shift
- Ability to mange multiple tasks and/or projects on a daily and strategic level
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and production systems (e.g., 5S, TPM, continuous improvement methodologies)
- A valid forklift license or ability to obtain and maintain one
- Familiarity with MRB processes and quality disposition procedures
The salary range for this position is $26.00 to $34.00 per hour. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
