Quality
Senior Quality Engineer
Job Description

Step into a role where you build quality into every phase – from initial development to full-scale implementation. You will work with projects contributing to solutions built on digital architectures that unlock new service opportunities and business models and support the sustainability and circularity journey at Grundfos.

As our new Senior Development Quality Engineer, you will play a central role in Design for Quality in a complex product development programme in Grundfos. You will ensure that quality is built into the product from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams across development, production, Supplier Quality and supply chain.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that quality is built into the product from the very beginning and maintained throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will work across disciplines to secure end-to-end system quality in a complex, multi-technology product.

You will act as a trusted quality partner to the project, supporting teams with the right processes, tools, and methods while maintaining a strong focus on system-level performance and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate FMEA, reviews of requirements, specifications, and test results, and support quality decision-making at DP-gates
  • Act as the customer representative, translating customer and application needs into quality requirements
  • Support verification, validation, defect management, and handling of early warning feedback when products are introduced on the market
  • Maintain focus on system-level quality across the full product lifecycle
  • Drive structured problem-solving, risk management, and continuous improvement
  • Coach and guide teams on quality processes, tools, and methods

What makes you a great fit

You are a structured and analytical quality professional with strong collaboration skills and a system-level mindset. You thrive in complex environments and know how to engage the right stakeholders.

You are motivated by being part of a journey where both the product and your role develop over time, and where you gradually take on broader ownership, leading all quality initiatives as the project/product matures.

We imagine you have:

  • A degree in engineering or a background in e.g. electronics, mechatronics or software with 2–5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with FMEA, structured problem-solving, and quality standards
  • Good understanding of complex systems (e.g. combining mechanics, electronics and software)
  • The ability to work across disciplines and build strong relationships
  • Excellent communication skills in English

It is a plus if you have experience with:

  • SPICE assessments or similar maturity assessment frameworks
  • Robust design / reliability engineering
  • FMEA, 8D, defect management and similar quality tools
  • Software development tools such as Git, Jira or Jama
  • MBSE and system engineering

We offer:

  • Flexible working conditions and work-life balance
