As our new Peerless Pump Product Portfolio & Commercial Business Development Director, you will be defining and executing Peerless Pump's global product portfolio strategy while driving commercial business development through market expansion, strategic partnerships, and customer-centric solutions — bridging product management, engineering, sales, and marketing to deliver competitive differentiation and profitable growth. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Water & Industry Business Unit team, you'll create impact by Leading the strategic direction of our pump product portfolio and commercial growth engine, directly influencing revenue, market share, and innovation across key vertical markets worldwide.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 

  • Define and manage global product portfolio strategy including P&L ownership, budget planning, sales forecasting, and full product lifecycle from ideation through end-of-life decisions
  • Lead and develop a high-performance product management team while rationalizing portfolio complexity to improve margins and operational efficiency
  • Develop and execute commercial growth strategies across key industries, identifying new market opportunities including geographic expansion and emerging segments
  • Drive go-to-market and sales enablement by defining value propositions, commercial playbooks, and training tools for complex solution selling across sales channels
  • Lead market intelligence efforts including competitive analysis, pricing benchmarks, regulatory monitoring, and voice-of-customer insights to inform product investment decisions
  • Serve as a key member of the BU leadership team, providing strategic influence across Sales, Applications Engineering, Development Engineering, Product Engineering, and Supply Chain

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a strategic and commercially minded leader with deep expertise in centrifugal pump technologies, proven ability to manage product portfolios at scale, and the entrepreneurial drive to identify and capture growth opportunities across complex industrial markets. We would also imagine that you have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years of relevant pump or industrial equipment industry experience
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience with demonstrated success leading product management or sales teams
  • Deep technical knowledge of centrifugal pump products, applications, and service models across water, wastewater, industrial, or energy markets
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen including expertise in complex sales channels, pricing strategies, and negotiation

It is a plus if you also:

  • MBA or advanced business degree strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI for data-driven decision making
  • Experience with strategic partnership development across distribution, OEM, or representative networks

The salary range for this position is $111,000.00 - $192,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.  The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
