Grundfos is seeking an experienced Head of Country & Plant HR in the region of Wahlstedt, Germany to join an established global function in Country & Plant HR. The Head of Country- and Plant HR is to drive and support the Grundfos One Culture approach in the Country by providing support and advice on a broad range of HR topics with a continuously support from a well deployed HR infrastructure of CoE’s and HR Service functions. Responsible for a consistent country approach. Proactively drive the necessary country HR alignment with relevant input from the business and other stakeholders to ensure competitive conditions Deploy all global people policies and processes - and in case of relevance (legal or local costumes) adjust or develop to fit country context (including plants + offices & facilities). Responsible for all processes towards the Plant leaders and the entire employee life cycle of plant employees from a work, learn and grow perspective.
 

 

What is the job about?
 

 

COUNTRY

 

  • Driving the local sustainability, DE&I activities, well-being activities and overtime local talent flow discussions in close collaboration with the divisions, functions and CoE for OD
  • Maintain a well-defined communication platform with relevant local policies and processes to ensure all leaders - both in- and outside the country - can execute their leadership in a simple and comprehensive way.
  • Support the Country Director/President / site leaders with relevant internal people communication.
  • Being the HR contact point and spokesman for all Group related activities, e. g. merit, new processes, tools and organizational transitions with organizational- and people impact.
  • Drive and align Country HR level activities – align with HR teams (including Division, functions and HRS)
  • Promote People related CSR activities – ensuring Grundfos taking social responsibilities under country dimension
     

 

Compliance, policies and processes
 

 

  • Support the implementation of global HR systems, processes and tools.
  • Act as ambassador for global policies, processes and systems.
  • Establish local HR policies and guidelines when needed in respect of local legislation or country needs.
  • Support Country President/Director implementing any local mandatory/corporate compliance trainings at country level (if relevant).
  • Onboarding programmes in the country aligned with the global role out and legal requirements in collaboration with the global process responsible and HR Services.
  • Ensure the companies/legal entities in the country are ready for internal and external audits related to people processes and compliant according to local standards
     

 

Labor relations
 

 

  • For the country in collaboration with the Country Director/president, including local collective agreements, day to day relationship with Union (if any), wage negotiations (if needed).
  • Advice on labor law issues related to well-being and performance related issues, eg. support, retention opportunities, disciplinary issues and dismissals.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide counseling on legal issues for individuals or groups within the country.
  • Manage collective dismissals in the country and ensure both a short- and long term perspective of the organizational impact and the employee value proposition.
     

 

PLANT
 

 

  • Talent acquisition and staffing for shopfloor employees, including adapt the manning based on input from divisions, Mid-term/long-term workforce planning for shopfloor and staff employees in the plants (direct and indirect labor) based on expectations from divisions and lastly local branding activities in collaboration with the global TA team.
  • You will manage a great team of HR employees, working out of three locations in Germany (Wahlstedt, Erkrath, Pfinztal)
  • Driving the learn and grow activities in the plant, ensuring everyone are trained according to the legal requirements. Initiate learning activities according to the needs and requirements in the Plants in collaboration with divisions. Apprenticeship programs (Serbia, Hungary, Germany, France)
  • Ensure the Plant is a great place to work, by ensuring shopfloor bonus programs, a competitive compensation structure for shopfloor employees according to the country development and country alignment. Manage ”soft benefits”, eg.  shuttle bus, uniforms, anniversaries, coupons, social events, etc across the Country
  • Provide supervisor and first line leadership development and sparring, ie. daily sparring of individual cases related to well-being, absence and general performance, team composition in APUs, roles and competencies in the APUs, development and succession on shopfloor level.
  • Deploy the People Pillar in the Grundfos Production System, including manage and drive the people KPIs for the plant as well as for the Country level.
  • Establish a collaboration structure for multi-site plants.
     

 

What do you need to apply?

 

  • Preferred candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related fields of study. Additionally, having a strong HR Generalist background and familiarity with a shopfloor environment is a must.
  • A commitment towards building engagement within the entire HR community.
  • Ability to manage several stakeholders and find solutions with an end-to-end mindset.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent or close to native German language knowledge
  • Strong collaborative experience within a global organization is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% if necessary.
