Job Description

What is the job about?

We are seeking a dedicated Category Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement. You will also analyze market trends, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in procurement or technical field. Main responsibilities:

Strategic sourcing related activities:

•     Support development of sourcing strategies.

•     Execution of sourcing strategies by using the existing Purchasing Tools.

•     Prepare data and fact packs for supplier negotiations.

•     Responsible for the tendering process (eRFI & RFQs and e-auctions).

•     Support the creation and updating of contracts

•     Responsible for the contract implementation and updating.

•     Part approval (SPA & VPC)

 

Supplier Relationship Management related activities:

•     Monitor the performance of suppliers (e.g. on-time deliveries, quality).

•     Prepare and participate in follow-up with suppliers on performance against target and agreed development activities.

•     Support the follow up on improvement initiatives.

•     Secure deliverables on required 0-meetings, SPA & VPC activities and ECMs.

•     Support classification of suppliers.

•     Participate in developing the SRM strategies for key suppliers and relevant collaborative suppliers.

•     Be part of a team of cross-functional key stakeholders.

 

Operational Procurement Management related activities

•     Accountable for Vendor master data

•     Accountable for updating Purchasing conditions    

 

 

Your background:
We imagine that you have:

 

•     Relevant commercial or technical education; Apprenticeship and job-related work experience or associate degree

•     Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in administration and business support preferable from purchase.

•     Preferably have 2-3 years' experience in similar work.

•     Experienced in communicating

•     Fluent in English

•     Expected travel is approximately 5-10 days per year.
