Sales & Customer Support
CSSC Application Engineer
Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering world-class technical support and building lasting customer relationships through expert product knowledge? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new CSSC Back Office Engineer, you will be providing timely, technically advanced support to customers and sales teams — from product sizing and system solutions to tender management and special order coordination — ensuring every interaction strengthens our customer relationships. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Customer Sales & Service Centre (CSSC) Back Office team, you'll create impact by Delivering expert technical guidance that empowers customers to find the right Grundfos solutions while driving business growth through exceptional service.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical assistance on product sizing, applications, system solutions, accessories, installations, and pricing to ensure functionality in practice
  • Support sales teams by handling tenders and projects, including dimensions, specifications, calculations, delivery timelines, and maintenance guidance
  • Process special orders and inquiries in coordination with suppliers, following up on all customer interactions within set SLAs
  • Identify business opportunities during customer interactions and hand over leads to external sales teams
  • Maintain accurate customer master data and collaborate with product segments or suppliers when local problem-solving is not available

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a technically minded customer service professional with strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine drive to solve complex customer challenges through collaborative, solution-oriented support. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience (minimum 5+ years)
  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support environment with strong organizational skills and customer accountability
  • Working knowledge of SAP (CRM/SD) and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication and relationship-building skills

It is a plus if you also:

  • Fundamental product and application knowledge — ability to interpret type keys, identify pumps vs spare parts, kits vs motors
  • Knowledge of business structures, products, and key market needs to create customer-centric experiences
  • Experience supporting tender processes or project-based technical sales

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities (2 times a week) and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
