Logistics, Supply Chain & Purchasing
Senior Category Manager, IT & Digital
Job Description

Do you thrive on leading high-stakes software negotiations with global technology giants like SAP and Adobe? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people. You'll be driving the global commercial strategy for Grundfos' software category — managing strategic renewals, leading complex tender processes, and negotiating with the world's largest software vendors to deliver measurable value across the organisation.

What you will be doing

You will be shaping Grundfos' software sourcing strategy to deliver cost optimisation, risk reduction, and commercial excellence that directly supports our digital transformation journey.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Own the global commercial responsibility for the software category, maintaining full visibility of all software renewals and driving timely execution
  • Lead high-level negotiations and tender processes with major software manufacturers such as SAP, Adobe, and other strategic vendors
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, and improved payment terms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels acting as a trusted advisor on software sourcing
  • Drive software portfolio optimisation through licence optimization, vendor consolidation, and spend transparency

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a commercially sharp and analytically strong procurement professional with proven experience in global sourcing strategy, high-level supplier negotiations, and the ability to influence stakeholders from operational teams to executive leadership. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated expertise in creating and executing sourcing strategies
  • Proven track record of leading complex, high-value negotiations with major enterprise vendors in a global organisation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess spend structures, total cost of ownership, and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • You'll also be available for travelling up to 25 days per year.

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with IT software sourcing, software licensing models (SaaS, cloud, enterprise agreements), and SAP contracts
  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba or similar e-procurement platforms
  • Background in the IT industry or technology procurement within a large corporate environment

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
