Are you passionate about engineering innovative pump solutions that help the world move water more sustainably? Do you want to work on something bigger than day-to-day development - a major strategic initiative that will shape our future platforms?
Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and improving quality of life worldwide. As our new Associate Product Development Engineer, you will become part of a key strategic project focused on renewing and modernizing our product platforms. You will contribute to the design and development of next-generation pump solutions, from early concept through to production-ready products, working in a collaborative and international R&D environment.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Product Development, Research & Development team, you'll create impact by Developing reliable, energy-efficient product solutions that support Grundfos's mission to pioneer technologies that improve quality of life and care for the planet..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Support the design and development of pump components and systems using 3D CAD tools and engineering simulations
- Conduct testing, validation, and root cause analysis to ensure product performance meets specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to drive designs from prototype to production
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design reviews, and engineering change orders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing field data and identifying design optimization opportunities
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a curious and detail-oriented engineer with a solid foundation in mechanical or mechatronic design and a drive to develop products that make a real-world difference. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- 0-3 years of experience in product development or mechanical design, including internships
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of engineering fundamentals such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, or materials science
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with FEA or CFD simulation tools
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
- Knowledge of pump technology or rotating equipment
