Job Description

Are you passionate about designing and implementing network infrastructure? Are you skilled in managing and maintaining smooth and secure communication systems? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as an WT IT Network Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless and secure communication between various computer systems within our company and with our external partners. What is the job about?

In this role, you will be reporting to the WT IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager and working closely with colleagues in the WT IT team, including the WT IT Director. Collaboration with other IT colleagues, particularly those in WT, the Grundfos Group, and external partners, will also be essential. The WT IT Infrastructure and Operations department, led by the manager, actively collaborates with the Grundfos IT security team and other relevant stakeholders within Grundfos IS. As a global role, you'll have the opportunity to work with various parts of the organization, particularly in our headquarters and different countries, as the position is heavily focused on IT Infrastructure and operations. Your key stakeholders will include country managers and Water Treatment Europe Management teams, represented by the WT IT Director.

 

Your main responsibilities:

3rd level support

Incident and workaround handling

Knowledge transfer to peers, stakeholders, support services

Maintain Network Performance:

  • Monitor network activity and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly
  • Update network infrastructure to safeguard against vulnerabilities and cyber threats
  • Install and configure network hardware and software
  • Integrate new technologies with existing systems without disrupting operations
  • Test network performance to ensure optimal functionality and reliability
  • Create and maintain business processes and SOPs within networking area

Design Network Solutions

  • Assess current network capabilities and determining areas for improvement.
  • Plan and design network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware
  • Ensure scalability and reliability of network solutions to accommodate future growth

 

Implement Network Systems

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Master’s Degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

 

Industry, market, and business environment

  • Experience working with complex IT technologies, incidents, and problems
  • Experience supporting developed processes within IT and IT System Engineering.
  • Most likely to have 3-4 years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal education.

 

Technical, functional, and professional

  • In-depth knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and security measures
  • Solid knowledge of the plans, processes, and activities within the functional area in IT and IT System Engineering.
  • Strong influential abilities.
  • Proactive and serviceminded
  • Proficient in English
