Technical Communicator
Job Description

What is the job about?

Create technical information that will make it easy for our customers to choose, buy, install, operate, troubleshoot and service our products.

Copy editing of English and local language source texts.

Developmental editing of English and local language source texts.

Proof reading English source text and translating into local language 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Create written content that is structured and easy to find, e.g. topic-based content
  • Specify requirements for visual content (photos, drawings, videos, etc).
  • Publish content to internal and external platforms
  • Advise product owners and stakeholders on information specific issues, e.g. appropriate solution or legal issues
  • Ensuring that the source text is unambiguous, understandable and able to translate into a wide range of different languages
  • Ensuring that the way the text is written aligns with the target audience
  • Checking source texts for readability, translatability, ambiguities, plausibility and consistency (also across documents)
  • Cooperating with technical review experts (proof readers)
  • Communicate to SCRUM Team and Product owner the status of your own tasks

 

What do you need to apply? 

We expect you have:

  • Bachelor in Technical Writing/ business English or similar, e.g. Communications, User Experience Design…
  • OR Technical background, e.g. engineering, coupled with a technical writing experience
  • Similar job experience from a previous job is highly appreciated, but not a requirement
  • Knowledge about translation tools and terminology in databases
  • Experience on products related to Digital, SW or Controls will be a strong plus
