Purchasing Coordinator
Job Description

What is the job about?

Provide support to Indirect daily ordering and PO management activities. The person in this role need to make sure all placed orders coming via QP are ordered within due time and delivered.  The Purchasing Coordinator specialized in Indirect daily ordering and PO management has the end to end responsibility within his/her own area.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide support for team members on Indirect daily ordering activities. Drive process improvement initiatives and actively contribute in cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Supporting deployment of new processes;
  • Representing advanced level of process knowledge and expertise;
  • Support to convert Purchase request to Purchase order, coming from QP, handle order confirmations;
  • Follow up on orders, using ZDMOPD/ME2N ( delivery time, partial delivery, missing materials etc);
  • Handle Vendor Invoice Management;
  • Support indirect daily ordering process in general, answering for questions coming from end users/ requestors locally, especially support the MRO area;
  • Create  and maintain Framework orders, share and communicate them towards end users and suppliers in their own area;
  • Coordinate and support training of employees within processes;
  • Coordinate and lead workshadowing/ Roll out activities and ensure standard process splits are followed;
  • Execute ad-hoc activities given by Team Lead or Management;
  • The Purchasing coordinator need to be clear with all Purchasing related processes and principles in place and capable to use them, such as local DOA rules etc..;
  • All other process related tasks and activities what are requested by the line manager

 

Your background

  • 3-4 years’ experience in similar role;
  • Experience indirect and direct sourcing and/or operational procurement activities;
  • Understanding the order flow and related procurement processes;
  • Solid Procurement system knowledge
