Sustainable Sourcing Coordinator

What is the job about?

Support the development and execution of the Sustainable Supplier Management Program in Group Purchasing with a focus on coordinating and running the carbon- and water footprint related activities and tasks in line with stakeholder expectations.        

 

Your main responsibilities:

•   Improve framework and tools managing carbon and water data collection related activities within Group Purchasing

•   Boost number of Grundfos suppliers completed our data sharing request

•   Take an active part in co-developing the EcoVadis platform user interface and provide inputs to improve the system to ensure efficient utilization

•   Meet related KPI’s and metrics and support reporting the status to the Sustainable Sourcing Team, Group Purchasing, Group Sustainability and any relevant stakeholders on a regular basis

•   Ensure the progress of the data collection and meeting target is on track, and actions are in place in case improvement is required

•   Coordinate, conduct and support the daily management and monitoring of supplier data sharing

•   Secure continuous availability of up-to-date high-quality data in the tools to be used (e.g. platforms, trackers)

•   Assist in providing extensive trainings to the suppliers about the digital platform(s) and tool(s) they have to use

•   Utilize and improve escalation channels and internal network in Group Purchasing once challenges have been identified in vendor cooperation

•   Conduct and/or participate in compliance or other sustainability related reviews with vendors

•   Take an active part with risk assessment, assessment and audit review, monitoring & managing data compliance within the organization when required

•  Actively support the development and revision of related sustainability process descriptions in accordance with the latest practices

•   Support activities linked to external audits & reporting

•   Take an active part in developing and improving sustainability related training materials and guidance and holding training sessions when needed

•   Support and maintain strong cooperation with key stakeholders

•   All other responsibilities and/or tasks assigned by direct manager.    

 

Your background:

We imagine that you have: 

  • Higher level degree (preferred with a focus on environmental science, environmental health, sustainability, international relations, public policy, supply chain management or similar)
  • 1-3 years’ proven relevant work experience is preferred, but freshly graduated applications are also welcome
  • Experience in Sustainable Sourcing or compliance areas is preferred but not mandatory
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable to deal with due dates
  • Systematic and quality-oriented way of working, following instructions and procedures
  • Result driven, energetic team player who is proactive, curious and eager to learn
  • Advanced in using the Microsoft Office
  • English – advanced level
