As our new Student Assistant - Technology Innovation China, you will be supporting our Technology Innovation China team with technology scouting, prototyping, and hands-on innovation activities that help Grundfos stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Technology Innovation China team, you'll create impact by Driving cutting-edge research and building working prototypes that accelerate Grundfos's innovation pipeline for the China market..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Research and scout emerging technologies in mechanics, sensors, data centers, and related fields, delivering clear documentation and reports
- Support ideation and exploration of machine learning opportunities in cooling systems and other applications
- Build and maintain demo/test beds and hardware prototypes to validate innovation ideas
- Debug embedded systems using communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C, and analyze system performance
- Create well-structured presentations and reports to communicate technology findings to the team
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a curious, hands-on engineering student with strong embedded systems skills and a genuine interest in technology scouting and rapid prototyping. We would also imagine that you have:
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C, including debugging and performance analysis
- Hands-on experience with test bed setup and prototype building
- Good English reading and writing skills, along with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
It is a plus if you also:
- Prior experience in programming and machine learning projects
- Familiarity with sensor integration or data center cooling technologies
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools and embedded development platforms
