Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Structural Fitter / Welder to join its Packaged Engineered Systems team in Waller TX.

As our new Structural Fitter Welder, you will be fabricating large structural weldments from heavy metal plates and shaped sections, interpreting engineering drawings to build critical structures at our Waller, TX facility. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Structural Fabrication team, you'll create impact by Building the heavy structural components that form the backbone of Grundfos solutions, ensuring every weldment meets exacting quality and safety standards.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to fabricate and fit piping systems and structural skids to exact requirements
- Weld pipe per ASME Section IX standards up to 6G position, and fit and tack-weld piping components according to specifications
- Accurately mark measurements and shapes on piping materials using precision tools, and operate arc, flame, and plasma cutting equipment
- Inspect own work for quality, complete required documentation, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, and hydraulic jacks safely and efficiently
- Maintain a safe and clean work area while promoting teamwork and adhering to all safety, environmental, and quality standards
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented structural fabrication professional with strong blueprint reading skills, hands-on welding and fitting experience, and a commitment to producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.
We would also imagine that you have:
- High school diploma, GED/HSE or equivalent *required
- 3-5 years of structural fitting and welding experience *much preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications *required
- Proficiency with stick and wire-feed welding machines, arc/plasma/flame cutters, and small power tools *required
- Experience operating cranes, hoists, forklifts, and hydraulic jacks
It is a plus if you also:
- Tack-weld procedure certification or ability to obtain certification promptly
- Basic computer skills including MS Windows and SharePoint
- Experience working in non-climate-controlled manufacturing environments with physical demands
including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds

The salary range for this position is $000-$000. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Peerless Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Peerless Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Waller, Texas.
