What is the job about?
The Stock Accountant understands and performs tasks assigned to them, supports senior accountants and proposes journal entries based on their own investigation, complies with internal controls, keeps in touch with the various stakeholders from all intercompany partners and assists in their requests. Acts as gatekeeper for the assigned activities.
Your main responsibilities:
- Performing inventory analysis throughout the month and cascading the results to the proper stakeholders
- Understanding the assigned accounting activities performed in FSS for the entity
- Identifying, solving and following up on issues, if necessary, escalating to the Senior Accountant and proactively interacting with key contact persons
- Performing MEC and YEC activities, acting as owner of assigned processes
- Supporting audit processes during system/process audits (internal and external)
- Being aware of the risks and understanding and maintaining controls, ensuring adherence to internal controls
- Supporting migration activities
- Supporting the operation of the One Finance Team and Finance Delivery Model, participating in collaboration forums
- Preparing and maintaining documentations
- Seeking continuous improvement opportunities to enhance effective MEC, processes and increase the quality of service
- Supporting projects related to assigned processes
Your background
We imagine that you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of best practices and systems in finance
- “Can do” mentality, problem solving attitude, “no blame” culture
- Ownership over assigned duties
- High level of accuracy
- Able to work against tight deadlines and service SLA’s
- Adhering to internal policies, deadlines, guidelines of operation
- At least intermediate level in English
- Experience with SAP is an advantage
- Strong MS Excel skills
