Sr. Finance Controller, Western Europe
Job Description

What is the job about?

As a Senior Finance Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality, compliant financial reporting for Grundfos entities. You will be at the heart of performance reporting (based on IFRS) and statutory/tax statements (based on local GAAP), driving accuracy, insight, and continuous improvement.

    

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead end‑to‑end reporting cycles – from accurate monthly and year-end closing to statutory financial statements for legal entities, including managing our statutory outsourcing partner.
  • Uphold compliance excellence – strengthen the quality of our financial reporting through advanced analysis, risk assessment, and ongoing simplification and optimization of processes.
  • Be a trusted business partner – assess compliance aspects in business cases and projects in close collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Drive global harmonization – challenge and improve global Finance Controlling, Accounting, Statutory Compliance, and Internal Control processes, ensuring efficiency, alignment, and scalability.
  • Advance our analytical capabilities – initiate complex analyses, enhance our monitoring framework, and secure best‑in‑class compliance with global policies and Group accounting standards.
  • Support at both Group and Performance Unit levels – ensuring consistent application of the Accounting Manual and Financial Policies across Finance.
  • Lead and elevate external audit processes – act as the primary contact for local auditors, authorities, and our outsourcing partner, ensuring a smooth, value‑adding audit performance

 

Your background

 

We imagine that you have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in a Corporate Finance role.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP software, intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Proficiency in English is required and communicational level in a major European language is an advantage (eg. German, Spanish etc).
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Strong, organized personality with ability to do the prioritization in the daily work
  • Flexibility and good change management
