What is the job about?

As our Senior Sourcing Specialist, you are responsible for managing commercial topics throughout the validity of supplier agreements and for executing activities within the Strategic Sourcing (STS) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes.

You work with local and regional direct suppliers which are ranging from high to low business impact across different categories. In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, you develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, and ensure supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability.

You play an important role in strengthening supplier partnerships, optimizing the supplier portfolio, and driving continuous improvements across the supply chain.

 

Your key activities include

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using existing purchasing tools
  • Lead supplier negotiations and tendering processes
  • Build and maintain in-depth market knowledge to support sourcing decisions
  • Select suppliers and negotiate purchase conditions for projects, re-sourcing, and new initiatives
  • Ensure contract coverage and drive cost-out activities
  • Optimize the supplier portfolio in line with business and category strategies

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Take responsibility for supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with suppliers on performance targets and development plans
  • Identify and drive supply chain improvement initiatives together with stakeholders
  • Oversee supplier capacities and initiate improvement actions where needed
  • Ensure supplier classification and develop SRM strategies for key and collaborative suppliers

Collaboration & Best Practices

  • Establish and drive cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of sourcing and procurement best practices

Colleagues in Logistics, Production and Operations units, Quality, Product Development, Engineering, and other key stakeholders across the organization

 

What do you need to apply?

We imagine that you bring:

  •  A relevant commercial or technical education (Master’s degree or equivalent min. 5 years work experience)
  • Experience from a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills and solid experience executing complex or specialized sourcing projects
  • Knowledge of purchasing best practices, relevant systems, and applicable laws and regulations
  • A structured, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a positive approach to teamwork
