Sales Development Manager, SEA, Commercial Building Service Division, SG

 

What is the job about?

 

The Sales Development Manager will help grow Grundfos’ presence in the Data Centre market across Southeast Asia. They’ll do this by encouraging more consultants, engineering firms, and facility owners to adopt Grundfos solutions. The role involves building relationships, expanding market reach, and identifying new project opportunities to strengthen Grundfos’ position as a trusted provider of infrastructure solutions.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

 

Business Development:

 

  • Create and implement a regional sales strategy to expand Grundfos’ presence in the data center market across Southeast Asia.
  • Spot and focus on key opportunities with consultants, developers, and owners of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers.
  • Build and manage a clear pipeline of upcoming data center projects and share qualified leads with local sales teams for timely action.
  • Work closely with sales teams to turn project opportunities into revenue and ensure strong market visibility.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation:

 

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with key players in the data center ecosystem, including consultants, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms), MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) firms, and data center owners.
  • Help shape project requirements by showcasing how Grundfos solutions deliver energy efficiency, reliability, and long-term cost savings.
  • Lead technical presentations, workshops, and seminars to raise awareness and encourage preference for Grundfos products.
  • Represent Grundfos at data center events and conferences, sharing insights and promoting the company as a leader in sustainable and efficient data center technologies.

 

 

Market Intelligence & Strategic Support:

 

  • Stay up to date with trends in the data center sector, including government policies and competitor strategies.
  • Help update technical specifications by promoting the shift from traditional pumps to energy-efficient E-pumps or other advanced technologies.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop focused campaigns and thought leadership content that highlight Grundfos’ value in the data center space.

 

Collaboration & Support:

 

  • Team up with local sales teams and channel partners to win and deliver data center projects successfully.
  • Sharing timely project leads and insights with sales teams to support follow-ups and ensure proper tracking.
  • Work with regional product management and application engineering team to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of data center applications.
  • Support the development and roll out engagement programs that strengthen relationships with consultants and data center owners across Southeast Asia.

 

 

Your background:

 

        We imagine that you have: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), Business, or another relevant technical field.
  • An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in sales development, business development, or specification sales—ideally within Southeast Asia or similar markets.
  • Strong background in working with consultants, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms), and end-users in sectors like data centres, MEP, or critical infrastructure.
  • Practical experience in building and managing project pipelines, including generating leads and tracking opportunities.
  • Good understanding of the data centre landscape in Southeast Asia, including hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise operators.
  • Comfortable presenting solutions at industry events, technical seminars, and trade shows.
