Product Engineer, Customer Service Unit, Industry Division, SG

What is the job about?

This role belongs to Industry CSU Team at SG factory, where we assemble vertical multistage pumps, end-suction pumps, and booster systems. CSU is an Grundfos internal support function that offers a range of technical services to Sales Companies, OEM’s and other CSU’s/Operation Companies. Our goal is to contribute to continue growth the business in Grundfos by supporting sales of customized solutions as well as business development within customized solution. This role work closely with other colleagues in CSUs in locally, regional and globally. As part of the IND CSU team, you will directly report to CSU manager, APAC. This role is also expected to support both creation of industrial variants as well as project sales from a CSU perspective     

Your main responsibilities

Handling Inquiries of Industry (IND) Variants for South Asia & Oceania (70%)

• Handle and coordinate mailbox inquiries
• Configuration and documentation of product to customers.
• Configuration support to sales companies on IND variants
• Create and verify complex variants to customer
• Daily support to sales companies on products, tools and systems.
• Technical clarification for customer complex inquiries
• Cooperation with Eng. and PCS (Product Configuration System) department on configuration extension and maintenance.
• Technical support to Grundfos companies, sales organization and customers.
• Technical clarification and communication with suppliers (e.g. Motors)
• Knowledge within Approvals and Legislation for CR pump CSU products
• Initiate and implement improvement/tools in relation to suppliers
• Initiate improvements for CR CSU technical solution and customer support

Data and documentation

• Maintain product and production documentation on CSU products in SAP.
• Data support in assembly lines SG and AU.
• Support AE (Application Engineering) and PE (Production Engineer) on documentation in systems.
• Relationship management with motor suppliers
• CAD documentation.
• Product Data Management
• Customized Documentation

Support to Project Sales (South Asia) 30%

• Provide engineering solutions for projects
• Sourcing sub-suppliers that fit to Grundfos offerings (e.g. motors)
• Provide Project drawings
• PN (Part number) creation
• Point of contact to liaise with other factories and CSU
• Creation and maintain project document database

Your background:

        We imagine that you have: 

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in mechanical or electrical.
• Knowledge about pumps, motors, hydraulic and mechanical design will be an advantage
• Fluent in English
• Excellent communication skill (internally as well as externally)
• Analytical thinking
• Cooperative attitude
• Customer focus
• Being innovative
• Project Management skills / Experience dealing with Projects is a plus
• 3 to 5 Years of relevant experience
