As our new Shipping Specialist, you will be managing end-to-end export and import shipment operations, from booking and documentation to monitoring deliveries and driving continuous improvement across our logistics processes in Singapore. What you will be doing
As a key part of the MEAPAC Transportation & Shipping team, you'll create impact by Ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable movement of goods across our global supply chain while driving on-time delivery performance and CO2 reduction initiatives.


Your main responsibilities include:
•    Execute export shipment bookings and prepare all required shipping documents to ensure timely goods issue
•    Monitor import shipments end-to-end, tracking delivery status and ensuring proof of delivery aligns with system records
•    Verify freight forwarder invoices and resolve billing discrepancies to maintain cost accuracy
•    Manage non-conformance issues related to shipments and drive root cause resolution
•    Conduct monthly business reviews with freight forwarders to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
•    Support continuous improvement initiatives including SOP reviews, delivery performance analysis, and transportation cost savings

 

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented logistics professional with hands-on experience in international shipping across multiple transport modes, strong Excel skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. We would also imagine that you have:
•    Minimum Diploma qualification
•    4+ years of experience in ocean and air international and domestic shipping or logistics operations
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and shipment tracking
•    Solid understanding of export/import shipping documentation and processes across air, ocean, and road transport
It is a plus if you also:
•    Experience working with SAP (e.g., SAP TM, ECC, or S/4HANA logistics modules)
•    Good knowledge of Singapore Customs clearance requirements and trade compliance
•    Experience in handling Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments and related regulatory documentation
