As our new Lead Purchasing Manager, you will be defining and driving divisional purchasing priorities, leading high-impact projects such as cost optimization, supply chain de-risking, and localization strategies across Group Purchasing. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Group Purchasing team, you'll create impact by Leading strategic purchasing initiatives that strengthen Grundfos's supply chain resilience, reduce costs, and accelerate our global competitiveness.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Define the roadmap of divisional projects and activities involving Group Purchasing, including cost-out, de-risking, localization, and make/buy feasibility assessments
- Project manage prioritized initiatives end-to-end, planning, coordinating, and tracking progress across the Group Purchasing function
- Establish and drive professional performance management to define and execute divisional performance goals
- Act as deputy for the Group Purchasing Divisional leader in relevant leadership forums
- Continuously improving processes and methodologies for driving divisional performance across cost, resilience, and strategic activities
- Establish and participate in cross-divisional purchasing forums to align on approach, share best practices, and coordinate projects
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a results-driven purchasing leader with deep project management expertise, strong navigation skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex global initiatives in an industrial environment. We would also imagine that you have:
- 10+ years of experience in project management within purchasing, supply chain, or related functions
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-country/regional projects in a large international organization
- Rich experience with industrial categories such as metals, plastics, rubber, and similar materials
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leadership
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience in change management within a global manufacturing or industrial company
- Background in cost-out programs, supply chain resilience, or localization/regionalization strategies
- Familiarity with professional performance management frameworks and continuous improvement methodologies
