What is the Job all about?

 

As an integral member of both the DBS China/APAC and IMEA leadership teams, the Lead HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in driving the organizational and people agenda within the assigned function. This role is responsible for effectively translating and executing the overarching Grundfos and DBS strategies into actionable people and organizational plans across the regions.

 

In addition to regional responsibilities, the Lead HR Business Partner also contributes to and leads division-wide people initiatives within DBS, ensuring alignment and impact across the global organization.

 

This position reports directly to the HR Director – HRBP, DBS, and will be based in our regional office in Shanghai.  

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as a custodian of the Grundfos company culture by actively reinforcing Grundfos Values and key behaviors across the organization.
  • Share accountability with the Regional Leadership Teams for the overall leadership and development of the assigned functions.
  • Translate and execute functional-level initiatives derived from the DBS strategy deployment plans, including:
    • Competency and skills gap analysis and development
    • Employee engagement and motivation
    • Talent management
    • Performance management (e.g., target setting, incentives)
    • Leadership and culture development
    • Recruitment and onboarding
    • Act as a trusted coach and advisor to the Regional Sales Directors for the China/APAC and IMEA regions.

 

  • Lead leadership development efforts across the functions, supporting both leadership teams and individual leaders.
  • Drive the execution of annual Grundfos/DBS HR processes, including:
    • Performance & Development Dialogue (PDD) process
    • Merit reviews
    • Employee engagement surveys
    • Succession planning and talent flow sessions

 

  • Ensure end-to-end HR service delivery for the functions, including operational and administrative support, by aligning expectations, providing feedback, and facilitating collaboration between leaders and HR Services in complex or sensitive cases.
  • Lead global and cross-functional DBS HR initiatives on behalf of the DBS HRBP team.
  • Represent DBS HR in company-wide HR projects, contributing strategic insights and functional expertise.

 

  Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Extensive end-to-end HR experience across key areas such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Recruitment, and Organizational Design
  • Fluent in English

 

Key Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into impactful HR initiatives
  • Proven international experience from either Regional and/or Global role, incl comfort working across borders and cultures
  • Skilled in navigating complex, transformational environments, with the ability to manage ambiguity, paradoxes, and dilemmas
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong project management, presentation, data analysis, and influencing skills
  • Effective coaching and counseling abilities
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
