Indirect Purchasing Manager APAC

What is the job about?

  • Responsible for the Performance of the Indirect Purchasing of goods and services in the MRO and Facilities categories for Grundfos in APAC.
  • Ensure the Efficient and Cost-Effective of indirect goods and services for the factories in China, Taiwan, and India respectively.
  • Driving role contributing to the Plant Profitability through strategic sourcing and cost savings initiatives in compliance with Group Purchasing and Grundfos ambition.

 

Your main responsibilities:

Define MRO and Facility category:

  • Analyze market insights of supplier, and business requirements to formulate strategy for APAC Indirect Purchasing members.
  • Accountable for developing strategies and leading initiatives for the assigned categories in alignment to Grundfos Operation and Global Indirect Purchasing strategies to gain buy-off from respective stakeholders.
  • Timely refresh of category strategies with the changing of business requirement and external factors, ensuring a sustainable cost savings.

Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation:

  • Accountable and responsible for verifying and approving of qualified suppliers for MRO and Facility categories.
  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies to achieve best value contracts especially in high value purchase.
  • Establish negotiating contracts strategy for the team with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing and savings.

Spend Analysis and Cost Reduction:

  • Analysing Plant and company spending on MRO and Facilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Implementing cost-saving initiatives, such as standardization, consolidation of suppliers, yearly contract negotiation, and vendor strategy.
  • Supporting other Indirect CoE Categories in the region for the cost reduction plan.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Overseeing the MRO and facilities suppliers performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential supplier risks.
  • Identify new potential suppliers and develop suppliers.
  • Keep up to date on market trends and technology advancement with the alignment from Purchase Excellence team.

Business Partnering:

  • Actively engaging with business stakeholders and other region Indirect Purchasing leaders to understand business priorities and guide stakeholders to propose and execute the operational strategies with consideration to risk mitigation and governance.
  • Provide market insights and recommendation to business stakeholders for business strategic planning and budgeting process.
  • Play as bridge between local/region users with Global COEs for other pillars like HR, IS, Logistics, Marketing, etc..

Policy and Process Improvement:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures for indirect procurement.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry best practices and implementing together with Grundfos ambitions.
  • Working with other departments, such as FBP and Ops LT, to ensure smooth purchasing processes.
  • Ensure that APAC Indirect policy and process is also inline with Global Indirect Purchasing direction.

People Development:

  • Support Sr. Purchasing Director, APAC & CBS in “People Competency Building” across APAC Indirect Purchasing Team.
     

Your background

  • Degree/Diploma holder with minimum 10 years of relevant Indirect Purchasing experience.
  • Proven track record in Indirect Category Management preferably in MRO, Facilities & Capex.
  • Proven capability in managing complex negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong supplier performance and relationship management.
  • Experience of handling global cross country/regions activities
