Sales & Customer Support
Application Engineer
Job Description

Are you passionate about designing technically optimized pumping solutions that power critical infrastructure — from commercial buildings to data centres? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Application Engineer, you will be delivering specialized application engineering expertise across HVAC, Pressure Boosting, Wastewater, and Data Centre applications — designing, sizing, and presenting solutions that maximize energy efficiency and system performance for customers and project stakeholders. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Commercial Applications Engineering team, you'll create impact by Collaborating with sales, customers, and consultants to influence technical decisions and deliver compliant, energy-efficient pumping solutions that create lasting value..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Perform pump selection, sizing, and solution configuration to ensure optimal, compliant system performance across HVAC, Pressure Boosting, Wastewater, and Data Centre applications
  • Prepare concise technical proposals and presentations recommending energy-efficient, technically optimized solutions based on project requirements
  • Support Sales Engineers in opportunity development, solution specification, and technical positioning with customers and consultants
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned applications, maintaining deep knowledge of products, industry standards, and market trends
  • Engage customers, consultants, contractors, and distributors in technical discussions to understand requirements and tailor specification text to proposed solutions
  • Prepare application-focused training materials and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions for Sales, CSSC, distributors, and customers

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a technically skilled engineer with deep system design knowledge in commercial building applications, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, value-driven solutions. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 3–8 years of experience in technical engineering, application engineering, or sales support roles
  • Deep understanding of system design in at least one commercial building application (HVAC, Plumbing, Sanitary, or similar)
  • Experience with solution configuration, pump sizing, and technical proposal preparation

It is a plus if you also:

  • Familiarity with value-based selling principles and commercial feasibility assessment
  • Experience with Data Centre cooling or wastewater applications
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and compliance requirements in building services

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, medical insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
