Job Description

Are you passionate about solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges while keeping critical pump systems running at peak performance? Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.

As our new Service Technician, you'll be diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing pumps and pump systems in both field and workshop environments that ensure our customers' operations never skip a beat. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Grundfos Czechia Service team, you'll create impact by delivering expert technical solutions and building trusted customer relationships that drive service excellence and business growth.

Your main responsibilities include:

Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble pumps, pump systems, and accessories in field service and workshop settings
Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and systematic failures and provide technical advice to customers at pump and system level
Conduct pump hydraulic tests, energy checks, and carry out risk assessments before each job
Prepare quotes for out-of-warranty repairs and pass on customer leads to the sales team
Write detailed service and FAS reports and assist leaders in identifying solutions to service and warranty concerns
Maintain and operate workshop machinery including drill presses, lathes, and mills

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you're a hands-on technical problem solver with deep experience in pump systems and a strong customer-first mindset, comfortable working both independently in the field and collaboratively in a workshop environment.

We'd also imagine that you are/have:

Technical education or equivalent practical experience in mechanical, electrical, automation, mechatronics, or a related field
5+ years of relevant work experience in a service environment with pumps, pump systems, motors, controls, or automation
Fluency in Czech and a working knowledge of English

It's a plus if you also:

Experience driving well-defined processes and leading minor projects within a service environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of best practices and relevant systems in industrial service operations

Day to day, you can look forward to:

Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
On-demand training and structured development programmes to support your growth.

Valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds. As part of our commitment to a safe and compliant hiring process, final candidates may be required to undergo a background check, subject to applicable local laws and regulations.
