As our new Field Media Service Technician, you will be performing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of Grundfos media systems and equipment, serving as the trusted technical expert our customers rely on to keep their operations flowing. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Field Service team, you'll create impact by Delivering expert technical service that ensures reliable water solutions for customers while strengthening Grundfos's reputation for world-class field support.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and startup of Grundfos media equipment and pump systems at customer facilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to restore equipment to optimal performance
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to Grundfos service protocols and manufacturer specifications
- Document all service activities, parts usage, and technical findings accurately in field service management systems
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance best practices
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify opportunities for system upgrades and service agreements
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a skilled, self-motivated field technician with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. We would also imagine that you have:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial media systems
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and basic PLC/control systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to customer sites within assigned territory
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals
It is a plus if you also:
- Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical engineering technology, electrical technology, or a related discipline
- Experience with Grundfos products or similar commercial/industrial pump and water treatment systems
EPA or other relevant environmental or safety certification

The salary range for this position is $ 53,300.00 - $77,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
