As our new Service Technician, you will be performing on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Grundfos pump systems and water technology solutions for commercial and industrial customers. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Commercial Service team, you'll create impact by Delivering expert technical service that ensures our customers' water systems operate reliably, minimizing downtime and maximizing the lifecycle of critical infrastructure..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and start-up of Grundfos pump systems and related equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on commercial and industrial pump systems
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability
- Document all service activities, parts usage, and technical findings accurately in service management systems
- Communicate with customers to explain technical issues, recommend solutions, and ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify upgrade opportunities and support customer needs
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a skilled, self-motivated technician with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent customer-facing communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. We would also imagine that you have:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience servicing pumps, motors, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical/electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites within assigned territory
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and building management system interfaces
- Familiarity with Grundfos or similar commercial pump product lines
- Relevant technical certification or associate degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline
