Purpose of the Job


The Area Service Sales Director will focus and will be responsible for growth, management and expansion of the Grundfos Industry Division service business. Ensuring alignment and compliance of all Industry Service Sales strategies and policies within the assigned Area. Responsible for leading and the performance of Service sales team in the assigned area through task guidance, direction setting and motivation. This role will be based either in our office in Seoul, South Korea or Tokyo/Osaka, Japan.

  • Select, lead, guide, evaluate and develop a high performing service sales team to achieve business objectives.
  • Accountable to deliver profitable Service sales growth as defined in the annual budget and strategic plan for their assigned Area
  • Develop plans to maintain an efficient, productive and harmonious work environment.
  • Select the right people, motivate and develop them to add value for Grundfos customers
  • Secure the right mix of talents
  • Lead aftermarket sales team to execute Service & Solutions strategy and build a strong Grundfos position and brand
  • Makes proposals for Service sales objectives and cost budget and develop sales & marketing plans in the assigned Area
  • Responsible for service sales revenue and profit in the assigned Area.
  • Develop and maintain an effective business relationship with customers, service partners and relevant authorities
  • Have regular performance coaching meetings with team members to ensure they have desired behaviors in developing customers and sales.
  • Drive facetime activities with customers and pipeline management to ensure opportunities for future sales with the service sales team
  • Develop service partners and prospects by proactively identifying potential and developing new market areas and customers.
  • Builds a strong partnership with Grundfos IND Division sales leaders throughout the Area and facilitates collaboration between division sales and service delivery teams, consequently contributing to a positive customer experience.
  • Participate in customer meetings, seminars, exhibitions, etc.
  • Increase awareness on after-sales service and service offerings to customers.
  • Product and technical presentations to internal and external customers where relevant.
  • Comply with all safety, procedures and quality standards of Group Service


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Master Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
  • At least 7-10 years of experience developing and implementing processes preferably within sales or service environment.  Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading a team.  Those who have exposure to the pump industry will be an added advantage
  • Experience executing on strategies and strategic initiatives within a complex business environment, preferably in a large matrix organization
  • Solid knowledge of best practices and relevant systems within similar commercial area.
  • Excellent business acumen skills with the ability to understand/interpret financial information
  • Excellent customer facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Possess great understanding and selling new business models, products and services, business utilization tools etc.
