Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description

What is the Job about

Engineer in the Grundfos Group, Supplier Quality Function. Carry through activities and improvements of the supplier quality. 
Make analysis and reports regarding capability of suppliers and supplier processes and lead/participate in projects with inputs on how to secure the required level of quality. Daily handler of supplier quality issues. Engage internal and external stakeholders to implement necessary changes to processes, drawings, specifications and follow through with proper change management expectations as needed to complete the 8D reports.

 

Your main responsibilities

Support for local production
    •  Request and follow up improvements from suppliers of the Suzhou site related components, based on 8D methodology.
Supplier Contact
    •   Main contact with suppliers in cases of big supplier issues, escalated by the plants:
        o  QIP related questions (return, sending missing component, etc.)
        o  Return PO (accept, reject)
    •   Keep the contact with the plants’ relevant stakeholders, e.g. QE /ME /Purchasing /Planner / Warehouse etc.
    •   Help in selecting and approving suppliers in accordance with SDE requirements
    •   Help suppliers in case of problems in performance preventing local operation to perform
    •   control on returned products to suppliers
    •   Claim and follow-up the actions to external suppliers via 8D
    •   Plan and perform supplier audits according to SQE’s Role and Responsibility
    •   Make and maintain control plans and FMEA documents together with the suppliers and other involved parties.
    •   Register and report Claim handling cost (COPQ).
    •   Escalate quality issues to potential red alert to SDE, and Management.
Incoming Quality control
    •   Create and maintain control plans in the systems according to its effects of it
System monitoring / improvements
    •   Developing better methods in existing systems in accordance with Process specialist
Quality training of employees in cases where Q department is involved
    •   Basic SAP HANA/ Q module
    •   QIP
    •   Incoming inspection
Stock handling
    •   Responsible for the blocked stocks, related to supplier issues.
Miscellaneous
    •   Support for different projects
    •   Any other tasks which ordered by the direct superior
    •   Follow different department related indicators
General responsibilities
    •   Carry out tasks prescribed by Integrated Management System to the best of her/his ability.
    •   Shoulder the health & safety responsibility refers to her/his position (see attachment „HSE responsibility”).  

 

Your background

A theoretical education as Mechanical Engineer. Skilled within the field of Quality.

Minimum 8 years of experience within technical disciplines

Preferred team management experience

Demonstrate solid project management skills by ensuring and communicating clear project plan

Ensures updates of drawings living up to technical requirements

Able to influence and ensure technical guidance/direction on changes

English knowledge – intermediate level

Other special knowledge, courses and requirements:SAP R/3 & Q-stat /Solara
