As our new Senior Safety & Quality Specialist, you will be leading all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality initiatives at our YCC facility — from hazard prevention and incident investigation to ISO compliance and quality assurance execution. What you will be doing:
As a key part of the YCC Safety & Quality team, you'll create impact by Driving a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement that protects our people and elevates the quality of every product leaving our facility.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead all EHS activities including hazard observation management, incident response, risk assessments, safety walks, and regulatory compliance across the site
- Conduct EHS projects and technical assessments, implementing solutions and design changes to reduce risk and improve safety performance
- Implement quality assurance processes and maintain QMS documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions
- Act as site lead for ISO audits and compliance, driving certification readiness and supporting internal, supplier, and customer audits
- Manage MRB/RMA inventory processes, gage calibration activities, and serve as the quality interface with external customers and suppliers
- Track EHS and Quality KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and develop countermeasures when targets are not met
What makes you a great fit:
Above all, you are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who thrives at the intersection of safety and quality, bringing hands-on experience implementing EHS and quality programs in a manufacturing setting along with proven organizational and project management capabilities. We would also imagine that you have:
- 4+ years of experience in both Quality and EHS with demonstrated success implementing quality and safety initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and drive data-informed decisions
- Solid organizational, project management, and leading-through-influence skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheet tools and familiarity with QMS and EHS management systems
- Ability to work out of the Aurora, IL facility
It is a plus if you also:
- SAP experience
- Experience with CMM equipment or advanced inspection methods
- ISO audit leadership or internal auditor certification
The salary range for this position is $92,000 to $130,000. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s & Peerless Pump Company total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Certain roles are eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.
