Senior Purchasing Assistant Electronics
Job Description

Do you want to establish close relationships within the Grundfos organization and gain a broad network where you have touchpoints that go beyond Purchasing and your own categories? Then join the EMEA Group Purchasing team as a Senior Purchasing Assistant.

What is the job about?

As our new Senior Purchasing Assistant, you are supporting the Purchasing Director with program management activities and team agenda. You are responsible for administrative and communication to the Category Manager. This covers administrative support related to Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Strategic Sourcing (STS) processes.

You will report directly to the Senior Purchasing Manager/Purchasing Director and have a functional report to the Category Manager.

The key activities in the role are described in the following.

Strategic sourcing related activities:

  • Support Category Management in various activities such as data analysis, preparation and coordination of negotiations.
  • Create E sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, E auctions) and prepare an evaluation for Category Managers and Local Purchasing.
  • Analysis of contract compliance and Contract preparation incl schedules.
  • Supporting supplier classification and development of a Category strategy.
  • Assist in follow up on supplier performance such as cost, delivery, quality, lead time and sustainability performance or other specific KPI’s agreed with the supplier and suggest improvement activities in case performance targets are not met.
  • Support implementation and follow-up on improvement activities agreed with suppliers.
  • Support communication and coordination between Grundfos stakeholders, the Category Manager and the suppliers. Coordinate meetings with suppliers.
  • Step in for Category Managers where required

 

Project support and administrative tasks:

 

  • Purchasing Performance Management & Corrective Actions with the team
  • Team building & Engagement related activities
  • Performance Analysis and Tracking of Improvement Plans
  • Ordering and follow up on samples requested by Category Managers (CM tool orders).
  • Handle investment reports related to investments or tools.
  • Follow-up on sample approval process  (VPC)
  • Ensure supplier access to Supplier Portal and access to relevant specifications such as Grundfos drawings or standards.
  • Support implementation of EDI/EcoVadis/ ARIBA or similar at suppliers.
  • Support in risk analysis to Category Managers (CM) and Local Purchasing (LP)

Your main collaboration partners are Purchasing Management, Category Managers, Grundfos production plants in Europe, Product Development and suppliers.

What do you need to apply?

•  Apprenticeship or associate degree depending on geographical area

•  Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in administration and business support preferable from purchasing. Preferably have up to 2-5 years experience in similar work experience.

•  Strong collaboration partner for direct manager & CM

•  Well-organized

•  Good written and verbal communication skills

•  Focuses on details

•  Good computer skills - esp. Office programs, Excel, SAP knowledge is advantage

•  Team player, self-motivated, work independently

•  Fluent in English

•  Analitical and strategy thinking
