Senior Product Information Engineer

What is the job about?

As a Senior Product Information Engineer, you will play a crucial role in securing and maintaining accurate, reliable, and high-quality data within the organization. You are responsible for defining and setting up the rules for data points and sets, optimizing data management processes and ensuring the integrity and security of the Grundfos' data assets.

Your main responsibilities:

• Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain data integrity and consistency across systems.
• Data Quality Management: Monitor and assess data quality, identify data inconsistencies, and drive initiatives to improve data accuracy and completeness.
• Metadata Management: Define and maintain data dictionaries, data schemas, and data models to facilitate efficient data usage.
• Data Classification and Security: Implement data classification standards and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
• Data Standardization: Establish and enforce consistent data standards, formats, and naming conventions to improve data quality and interoperability.
• Data Analysis: Collaborate with business users and data analysts to identify data needs, perform data profiling, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Data Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, data flows, and data mappings, ensuring data lineage is well-documented.
• Data Migration and Integration: Contribute to data migration and integration projects, ensuring smooth data transfer and adherence to data standards.
• Data Governance Training: Provide training to employees on data governance practices, data quality best practices, and data-related policies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with SME’s, cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and data owners, to resolve data-related issues and align data management efforts

Your background:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
• 5 years’ experience in data management/governance with a solid understanding of data management concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and data modeling techniques, as well as database management systems, and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of SAP and 3Dx as well as industry data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders, influence decision-making, and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
