We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing variable speed drive solutions with a special focus on power electronic circuits optimized for pump applications.
As a key member of our team, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining power electronic circuits and variable speed drive solutions specifically tailored for pumps. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the SCRUM Team's deliveries by utilizing relevant tools such as Saber, and applying your strong engineering skills.
Your responsibilities will also include conducting in-depth analysis and providing support in designing, developing, and implementing complex systems and solutions. What is the job about?
Your main responsibilities:
- Be responsible for power electronics design from specification to production implementation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Optimize design with respect to e.g. EMC and harmonics, as well as protection circuits.
- Lead and participate in the entire systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, performance metrics, and design constraints based on product specifications and customer needs.
- Develop and document system architectures, block diagrams, and interface specifications to guide the implementation and integration of hardware and software components.
- Ensuring documentation are updated (drawings, SAP data etc)
- Conduct analyses in connection to product changes/updates
- Perform cost analysis and cost reduction activities
- Propose innovative solutions to enhance system reliability, robustness, and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Your background:
We imagine that you have:
- An Engineering Degree, Master or Bachelor within Power Electronics or similar education
- At least 3 years relevant experience and knowledge within product development
- Proficient English – verbal and written
- Understanding Agile principles
- Preferably experience with variable speed drives
- Knowledge in job relevant tools (e.g. Saber)
- Experience in using simulation tools for relevant specialist area (e.g. Ansys)
- Experience with requirements management tools and techniques
