Senior Product Development Engineer - Drive Engineer

What is the job about?

 

As a Senior Product Development Engineer – Drive Engineer, you will take a key part in the development of Grundfos variable speed drives solutions. You’ll be embedded in a scrum development team focused on drives mechatronics, where you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of softPLC programs that enhance pump drive functionality. This work calls for strong product knowledge of variable speed drives and pump applications. Your insights will directly influence product feature specifications, especially for new pump software functionality, and ensure hands-on verification that specifications are met.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Thriving in a mix of specification, planning, and practical hands-on work with our products
  • Bringing pump application understanding into the specification for new products, particularly for software functionality
  • Contributing to requirements writing, integration, and deployment of verification strategies that combine sub-pump components (drive, motor, pump, etc.)
  • Ensuring embedded software functionality works as intended in the application and remains intuitive to use
  • Enabling integration of products such as apps and connectivity components into a unified system
  • Taking ownership of verification activities, including thorough documentation
  • Being familiar with associated Grundfos processes, standards, and practices
  • Providing third-level support for Grundfos application centers and OEM customers

 

 

We imagine that you have:

  • 5-10 years relevant experience
  • Deep knowledge and experience with variable speed drives
  • Pump application knowledge from different domains & systems
  • Experience with or Understanding of PLC systems and PLC programing
  • Experience from test and verification of pumps and drives
