Engineering
Senior PLM Architect
Job Description

Are you passionate about architecting complex Product Lifecycle Management landscapes that connect product data, sustainability, service, and the digital thread across a global organization? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

We are looking for a Senior PLM Architect to take a leading role in designing and evolving the endtoend PLM architecture that supports the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to manufacturing, service, and endoflife. In this role, you will be a key driver in transforming how product data flows across systems, processes, and teams. You will join a global PLM organization working at the intersection of business, engineering, and IT, contributing directly to strategic initiatives within sustainability, service, and digital transformation. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the PLM center of excellence team, you'll create impact by shaping the future of how Grundfos manages product data and sustainability information by architecting PLM solutions that bridge current capabilities with tomorrow's strategic ambitions.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Own and evolve the strategic PLM architecture, ensuring alignment with Grundfos's enterprise IT strategy and business objectives across sustainability, service, and technical communication

  • Design integration patterns that seamlessly connect PLM systems with other enterprise platforms, enabling consistent data flow and interoperability

  • Investigate and define how diverse data formats and structures can be harmonized and transitioned from current states into future-ready architectures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the Grundfos organization to identify structural patterns, drive architectural decisions, and build consensus

  • Guide the expansion of PLM capabilities into service and sustainability domains, establishing the architectural foundations for these emerging areas

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend roadmap initiatives that advance PLM maturity and support Grundfos's product lifecycle goals

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a collaborative and analytical architect with strong logical thinking, a talent for identifying structures in complex situations, and a natural ability to connect with people across cultures and disciplines. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a solution or enterprise architect specifically within PLM systems and product data management

  • Proven expertise in PLM platform architecture, data modeling, and enterprise system integration (e.g., ERP, MES, IoT platforms)

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle processes including technical documentation, sustainability data, and service information

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to work in distributed, international teams

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with PLM platforms

  • Background in product sustainability data management or circular economy frameworks

  • Familiarity with data transformation and migration strategies across heterogeneous system landscapes

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.

  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.

  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.

  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
