Engineering
Senior Hydraulic Specialist
Job Description

At Grundfos, we’re driven by a powerful purpose: to solve the world’s water and climate challenges and improve quality of life for people everywhere. As a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology, we set the standard in innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

We are now looking for a Senior Hydraulic Specialist to join our Hydraulic Design & Simulation team in Denmark – a global center of excellence in fluid mechanics and hydraulic component development.

Why This Role Matters

Grundfos has a strong strategic focus on Simulation Driven Development. This means our products are designed, optimized, and verified through advanced simulations from the earliest stages. In this role, you will be at the forefront of that strategy—designing state-of-the-art hydraulic components that deliver exceptional performance and robustness.

You’ll work with cutting-edge simulation and optimization tools, and apply deep fluid mechanics expertise to shape both our physical products and digital offerings. This is your opportunity to influence the future of sustainable water technology on a global scale.
“When we succeed, we develop the best products globally within our field. Only a few people worldwide get to do that.” — Nicholas Pedersen, Head of Hydraulic Modules & Simulation

  • Lead hydraulic development of components like impellers, pump housings, and chambers.
  • Conduct simulations, reviews, verifications, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with global development teams and production sites.

  • Explore and implement new technologies (e.g., parametric design, additive manufacturing).
  • Ensure timely integration of innovations into modular designs.

Fluid Mechanics Expertise (10%)

  • Provide subject matter support on hydraulic design, simulation, and testing.

Knowledge Sharing (10%)

  • Drive personal development and share knowledge through training and mentoring.

What You Bring:

  • Strong background in fluid mechanics, turbomachinery, and CFD.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python).
  • Experience in hydraulic design and 3D parametric modeling.
  • Familiarity with simulation validation through physical testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Who You Are:

  • Analytical and structured thinker.
  • Self-driven and accountable.
  • Able to balance quality with speed and efficiency.
