What is the job about?

 

As a Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering medium-complexity projects from order fulfillment through after-sales support—ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution that meets customer expectations.

 

This position reports to the Project Execution & Engineering Manager and is based in Brookshire, Texas, operating in a hybrid work model.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage medium-complexity projects using SAP SD, SAP Project Management, ERP systems, and Extranet/E-trading platforms.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Grundfos’ project execution processes and standards.
  • Support proposal and quotation development to ensure project delivery aligns with time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Manage sub-suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring service levels meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance local project delivery activities.
  • Assist Health & Safety and Quality teams in auditing and evaluating sub-suppliers.
  • Address customer issues in coordination with Proposals, Sales, Service, and Project Management teams.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including customers, supply chain, field service, and warranty teams.
  • Prepare submittal packages and handover documentation in accordance with agreed formats and standards.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and professionally represent product benefits to customers.
  • Support monthly KPI reporting and action planning with the manager.
  • Proactively manage risks and opportunities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Credit Control to ensure timely payments.
  • Support logistics and workshop activities to ensure accurate and timely site deliveries when needed.

 

Your background 

We imagine that you have: 

 

  • Master’s Degree, bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  Most likely to have 3-4 years of relevant work experience besides formal education.
  •  Proven expertise in delivering technically complex projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster productive collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (SAP R/3, CRM, Business Warehouse).
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PRINCE2, SAP PS).
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple medium-complexity projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in Field Service and Service Coordination is a significant advantage.
  • Solid skills in project, financial, and change management, as well as facilitation.
