What is the job about?

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Quality Management System and EHS processes, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring the safety of our employees.

 

This position reports directly to our BGC Site Manager/Country Director and operates under a hybrid work model.

 

Candidates must be authorized to work in Chile without sponsorship.


Your main responsibilities: 

  • Lead the implementation of processes required to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with production processes, including quality requirements for local suppliers.
  • Perform inspection, verification, and validation of components or products.
  • Manage, follow up, and create action plans for non-conformities and QIP complaints.
  • Plan, structure, develop, and oversee the Annual Hygiene, Safety, and Occupational Health Plan.
  • Supervise the work of safety officers within the Hygiene, Safety, and Workplace Improvement System.
  • Coordinate incident investigations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Your background

We imagine that you have: 

  • A degree in Engineering or at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Planning and organizational abilities.
  • Expertise in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps (theory, products, motors).
  • Understanding of Supply Chain and logistics operations.
