Grundfos is looking for a highly motivated professional to be part of our team in San Luis Potosí, MX and take our warehouse operations to the next level. Are you up for the challenge?

 

What is the job about?

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations at San Luis Potosi’s facility. This includes managing materials, inventory, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will ensure that tasks are assigned to team members in an effective manner, while also motivating and guiding the workforce to achieve team goals and meet company expectations. Will be accountable for improving KPI metrics and ensuring that all products are delivered to sister companies and DC's in a timely manner.

 

This position will report directly to the Sr. Plant Manager and will operate daily out of the San Luis Potosí, MX facility. Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported, and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico without support.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage and controlling warehouse activities, including materials delivery, materials flow, inventory management, and shipping of finished goods.
  • Coordinates with Production Departments and effectively allocate resources to ensure timely support.
  • Directs the effort to streamline the time between order placement and delivery, resulting in more consistent service to consumers.
  • Collaboration with SCH and coordinating slow-moving and obsolete inventory teardown.
  • Monitor day-to-day warehouse issues to meet specific requirements or resolve problems.
  • Develops techniques for measuring warehouse effectiveness, establishing goals and implementing plans to meet these goals.
  • Supports the implementation of purchasing strategies and cost reduction projects.
  • Participates actively within the Management Team to develop and implement tactics and strategies in agreement with the company standards.
  • Administrate the budget for operating expenses and investments of the department
  • Provide training, tools, and encouragement to the team members to use their capabilities effectively.
  • Main responsible for Annual physical inventory

 

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical background; master’s degree preferred plus 5-7 years of relevant work experience as a people leader
  • Experience in developing and creating processes within the Supply Chain and warehouse.
  • Experience implementing strategies and strategic initiatives within a complex business environment.
  • Good knowledge of best practices and relevant systems within the Supply Chain.
  • Relevant industry experience within a business environment (manufacturing experience)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, specifically SAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in office and Windows management.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
  • Qualified candidates are expected to have demonstrated experience in boosting team productivity and reaching project milestones. Additionally, experience working in a warehouse environment and utilizing local warehouses, overflow areas, and 3PL services experience is required.
