We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Project Manager to join our Water Utility & Americas Purchasing team. This position reports directly to the Purchasing Director Americas and will operate daily out of the San Luis Potosí, MX facility.  Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico without support. 

 

What is the job about?  

The Purchasing Project Manager will be responsible to facilitate divisional performance and activities with Group Purchasing and will define and communicate divisional priorities with Group Purchasing

 

Your main responsibilities:  

  • Deputy for GP Divisional leader in relevant leadership fora
  • Define roadmap of divisional projects and activities involving GP. I.e. cost out, PMI, de-risking, localization/regionalization, make/buy feasibility etc.
  • Project manage prioritized projects and activities
  • Plan, coordinate and track progress on divisional activities across GP function
  • Establish and maintain professional performance management in order to define and implement the right divisional performance goals
  • Ensure and improve process and methodology of divisional performance. I.e. cost out, resilience and other activities
  • Establish and take part in purchasing forum across divisions to align on approach, projects etc 

 

Your background 

We imagine that you have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • 6+ years of experience with project management within Purchasing field.
  • Proven record of working in larger international company and preferrable change management
  •  Proven experience in handling complex purchasing projects / activities
  • Rich experience of industrial Categories. I.e. Metal, Plastic, Rubber etc.
  • Experience of handling global cross country/regions activities
