As our new Senior Category Manager, you will be developing and executing sourcing strategies for our electronics category, driving supplier negotiations, managing supplier performance, and delivering measurable cost and value improvements across a global supply chain. This position reports to the Electronics Cluster Leader and works on a hybrid schedule from our facility in San Luis Potosi, SLP, Mexico. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in Mexico without support now or in the future.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Electronics Procurement team, you'll create impact by Shaping our supplier portfolio and partnerships to fuel market growth, innovation, and sustainable supply chain excellence across Grundfos's global operations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Grundfos purchasing tools, including eRFI, RFQ, and e-auction processes.
- Lead complex supplier negotiations and manage overall purchase conditions for medium-to-high impact categories.
- Own supplier relationship management — tracking performance on delivery, quality, and sustainability targets and driving improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain deep market knowledge to optimize the supplier portfolio and identify cost-out opportunities.
- Establish and lead cross-functional stakeholder teams to align sourcing activities with business needs across Production, D&E, and regional units.
- Create SRM strategies for key suppliers, drive Supply Chain solutions, and ensure contract compliance with Grundfos policies on sustainability and ethics.
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a commercially sharp sourcing professional with strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to build strategies from concept to execution, and comfort working autonomously in a global, remote-collaboration environment. We would also imagine that you have:
- Master's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, or category management within a large manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record executing complex sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, and cost-out initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier performance frameworks.
- Advanced English level, both spoken and written.
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience managing electronics or technical component categories.
- Background in supplier relationship management including system audits and CSR audits.
- Experience working effectively in global, cross-functional teams with remote leadership structures.
