Facility Specialist - Water Treatment

What is the job about?  

As a Facility Specialist, you will lead and carry out tasks and projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders where main responsibility is ensuring control of treated water quality, applying professional knowledge across wastewater treatment process including operative cost and performance measurement.

 

This position reports to the Senior Maintenance Manager and operates daily out of our facility at San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

 

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in Mexico without support.

 

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure treated water quality complies with local standards and government regulations.
  • Measure and report water consumption, including raw water, treated water, and demineralized water.
  • Plan and supervise preventive maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and control operational costs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities in clean and orderly condition, ensuring proper storage and care.
  • Work across functions and provide technical guidance to peers.
  • Apply understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable for Facility.            
  • Actively participate in and support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) objectives, programs, and procedures, contributing to compliance and continuous improvement efforts.

 

Your background 

We imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree as Sustainability engineer, Chemical engineer or related with more than 12 years of experience.
  • Specialized training in managing waste, automation, safety & ecological standards.
  • Strong knowledge in wastewater treatment plants (physical-chemical and biological). Processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of local standards and legal requirements.
  • Fluent English level.
  • The ability to operate daily out of the San Luis Potosí facility.
  • A willingness to travel as needed, both nationally and internationally. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
