What is the job about? 


As a DC Planner, you will be responsible for the planning of stocks and material inbound supply to AMERICA DC planning points while balancing product availability and inventory efficiency.

 

This position reports directly to Water Utility Americas Supply Chain Manager and, this position will operate out of the San Luis Potosi, Mexico in a hybrid model.

 

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported, and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico without support.

 


Your main responsibilities: 

 

  • Monitor product availability daily and take corrective actions (e.g., ordering, cancellations, reminders); escalate supply chain issues as needed.
  • Process and clarify vendor invoices.
  • Resolve inbound issues such as incorrect deliveries, damages, or missing warehouse bookings.
  • Analyze demand planning (DP) and supply network planning (SNP) data, identify trends, and initiate countermeasures with Sales.
  • Maintain planning parameters (e.g., strategy, ROP, SOP) based on historical data and forecasts.
  • Review and update lead times.
  • Adjust stock levels for seasonal changes, campaigns, and product transitions; manage slow-moving inventory.
  • Coordinate escalations and communicate promptly in case of supply chain or quality issues.
  • Monitor production replenishment performance and address bottlenecks or overcapacity.
  • Execute bi-annual segmentation processes and validate results.
  • Optimize minimum order quantities and supplier delivery performance.
  • Develop supplier forecasts using historical data and planning inputs.
  • Plan product phase-ins and phase-outs in collaboration with Sales and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular meetings with production and suppliers to drive process and KPI improvements.

Your background

 

We imagine that you have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or planning.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong understanding of planning systems and processes.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Structured work approach and clear prioritization under pressure.
  • Awareness of when to escalate unresolved issues.
  • Familiarity with Americas Distribution business rules to ensure excellent customer service.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
