Associate Logistics Specialist

What is the job about?

As an Associate Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing activities to achieve flawless processing of sales orders and deliveries to meet customer expectation to requested and confirmed delivery dates in our North America Distribution Center planning points. You will collaborate with Grundfos factories, external suppliers, Grundfos sales companies and internal, external partners. This position is based at our site in San Luis Potosi and operates on a hybrid schedule. 

 

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in San Luis Potosí, México without support. 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for sister companies for all matters regarding the purchase, production, and delivery of pumps and pump accessories.
  • Ensure delivery creation for sales orders and STOs due for delivery.
  • Coordination of rush/urgent orders with DC staff, Logistics, etc.
  • Identify delivery exceptions, including availability issues, and communicate with relevant partners, including suppliers both internal and external, DC staff, and sales company customer service.
  • Provide specific information on product availability, status of existing orders, lead times, including location in fulfillment process.
  • Monitoring DC’s performance through reports and dashboards and share root causes, action plans and potential risks.
  • Sales orders containing SAP delivery errors identified and corrected, detection and correction of missing routes in deliveries.
  • Timely handling of delivery issue related claims and CIC/mail inquiries.
  • Monitoring of customer orders and follow up with Sales Customer Service in relation to blocks, requested delivery dates, special condition, etc.

 

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce, logistics or another related field.
  • 2 years of experience in supply, stock, and management of customer orders.
  • A good knowledge of SAP system is desirable, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • An advanced English level since this position requires daily use of English (written and spoken).
  • A customer-oriented attitude, with particular attention to customer expectations considering, capacity, stock, and lead time constraints.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, the capacity for self-management, and a structured approach to tasks.
