As Sales Engineer you will drive sales activities within the geographical area (Catalonia & Balears) under the Water Utility Division, thus enabling sales growth and market share growth within his/her customer platform.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for following the guidelines and standards of Grundfos, Grundfos Code of Conduct and Grundfos values.
What is the job about?
- Ensure sales and technical support to the customer platform under his/her responsibility, by executing and following-up on quotations according to customer inquiries and/ or market specifications (30%).
- Continuous negotiation of Opportunities, allowing the delivery of agreed sales targets, monthly and yearly budget (30%).
- Regular meetings with Water Utility Division Sales Manager to cover Pipeline + Forecast and End-User systematic approach. Execute agreed follow-up activities to increase chance of success (10%).
- Record all activities related to the Customer Relationship Management in line with company procedures using our CRM package (5%).
- CRM update of customers data base, opportunities and quotation/negotiation status (5%).
- Develop a robust process to monitor each opportunity, enabling orders success using our SAP CRM tools (5%).
- For the segment related products and competitors, should collect and report market information about price positioning, competitor identification and competitor activities (5%).
- Work in close relation with the Marketing department to plan and execute marketing activities for segment related products (5%).
- Quarterly update on agreed business plan/ action plans (5%).
What do you need to apply?
- University Degree or Master Level, preferably within Engineering and/or Sales, or extensive sales background in the pump business
- Preference some years of experience in sales within the Water Utility market, in the Catalonia region.
- High level of English
- Computer literate (Microsoft applications, SAP etc.)
