Sales Engineer, Domestic Building Service
Job Description

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for pumping solutions and the ambition to grow business across Victoria's domestic building services sector? As our new Sales Engineer, you will be developing new business leads and managing key customer relationships across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, driving sales of our Domestic Building Services range including pressure systems, hot water circulators, waste water, and borehole submersibles.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Commercial Sales - Domestic Building Services team, you'll create impact by Driving growth and customer loyalty across Victoria by delivering tailored Grundfos pumping solutions that meet the evolving needs of distributors, wholesalers, and end users in the domestic market.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Promote and sell Grundfos pumps and pumping equipment, achieving agreed sales and financial targets
  • Develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria
  • Identify, explain, and recommend tailored solutions across domestic pumping applications
  • Manage the technical sales pipeline effectively through disciplined use of CRM tools and regular reporting
  • Deliver marketing programs and initiatives that foster customer loyalty, satisfaction, and long-term partnerships

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a results-oriented business hunter with strong negotiation skills, a customer-first mindset, and a background in pumping, hydraulics, or related industries — someone who thrives working autonomously on the road and consistently hits their numbers. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in pumps, plumbing, HVAC, irrigation, waste water, hydraulics, or water-related industries
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and financial goals
  • Background in pumping and/or hydraulics with the ability to provide technical solutions to customers

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with business analytics and data-driven sales planning
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
