As a Sales Engineer, Commercial Building Services, you will manage sales within the assigned sales portfolio, adhering to company strategies and policies, to achieve sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the designated territory.
The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. An extensive travel is required to cover the dealers biz in the assigned areas.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage sales within the assigned sales portfolio, adhering to company strategies and policies, to achieve sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the designated territory.
- Implement business strategy to have the value-based selling to the consultants / developers to expand market share and profitability in the territories.
- Enforce sales policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies. Based Kuala Lumpur with regular travel required to meet business partners, dealers, and business associates (e.g., consultants, developers) to maintain Grundfos's strong market position.
- Conduct technical training for consultants/ developers, business partners and customers.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Recommend sales strategies and budgets for specific business areas within designated regions to achieve sales targets, ensuring task-level execution aligns with these strategies and complies with company policies.
- Monitor account receivables monthly; follow up with customers on outstanding balances to ensure timely payments, aiding in cash flow management and reducing potential bad debt
- Maintain strong relationships with dealers, project owners, engineering contractors, design institutes, consulting firms, and authorities.
- Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required.
Your required skills and experience include:
- Experience driving sales, business and project processes in commercial building sector
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong ability to influence others and possess a great understanding of relevant systems, local laws and regulations in the commercial building sector.
- Strong knowledge of pump systems for plumbing, sanitary, and HVAC applications, with the ability to connect with customers, M&E consultants, and developers/end-users.
- The role requires frequent visits to client sites, such as mixed development sites, data centres, office buildings, or other locations where the product or services are implemented for sales engineers to understand the client's environment and tailor their solutions accordingly. It also requires high levels of physical activity, including walking, climbing, standing, and potentially lifting equipment or materials during site visits.
- Being energetic with the ability to work in various environments with PPE is essential.
