As our new Sales Development Engineer, you will be driving sales growth by providing technical expertise, developing tailored solutions, and building strong customer relationships across our product portfolio.

 

This role is based in the Northern part of the UK.

 

What you will be doing

 

As a key part of the Commercial Building Services Sales team, you'll create impact by Partnering with customers and internal teams to deliver innovative, energy-efficient pumping solutions that advance Grundfos's mission of pioneering sustainable water technology.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive customer engagement and market analysis
  • Provide technical consultancy and product selection support to customers, consultants, and contractors
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders in your territory

 

What makes you a great fit

 

Above all, you are a technically skilled sales professional with a strong engineering foundation and a drive to win business through solution-oriented customer engagement. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Building Services Engineering (or related field)
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or application engineering within HVAC, water, or pump industries
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate complex product features into customer value

 

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with pump systems, building services, or fluid dynamics applications
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainable building practices
