What is the job about?
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will apply broad subject matter expert knowledge with a high degree of technical/business insight regarding the management of channel partners and distribution network to serve the industrial market with final focus on end-users. You will develop initiatives with an impact across main industrial markets and applications at national level in Brazil.
This position is part of the Industry Latin America team and operates remotely out of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil.
Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in Brazil without support.
Your main responsibilities:
- Identify and conduct feasibility studies of new business with the potential to use Grundfos products and services in industrial segments.
- Execute tactical sales plans and activities in line with the overall sales plans and strategy and assist in budget preparation for sales and marketing activities.
- Utilize SAP BW data for business analysis and forecasting.
- Provide advice to channel partners, end-users, consultants and contractors on products and their performance, new products, product modifications, system solutions, applications, terms of sales, service, replacement, spare parts etc.
- Gather market information on business trends, competitor strategies and activities, and provide recommendations to business managers and channel partners to counteract the competitor’s strategies.
- Conduct specialized training on products and applications for channel partners, end-users and colleagues in the sales team.
- Develop a designated customer base, contacting, visiting, serving and improving the relationship with them, including preparation of business plans, budgets and promotional activities.
- Work collectively with the Business Manager, Sales Colleagues, Functional Groups and Channel Partners to achieve sales budget, contribution targets and ensure profitability of accounts.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Process, or Chemical Engineering—or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
- English proficiency required in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Spanish proficiency preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid Class B driver’s license.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial sales, in addition to formal education.
- Proven track record as a Sales Engineer, preferably with experience managing a distribution network.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and optimize business processes within industrial sales environments.
- Solid understanding of industry sales channels, including related plans, processes, and activities.
- Familiarity with applicable systems, local laws, and regulations relevant to industrial sales.
- Experience working within manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work remotely from the São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo area.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%, primarily within Brazil. Candidates must be able to maintain valid identification for travel purposes.
Please note that the focus of this position is the national territory of Brazil.
